Penyuluhan Bijak Penggunakan Obat (DAGUSIBU) dan Pemahaman Logo Obat pada Warga RT 01 RW 01 Siroto, Candirejo, Ungaran Barat)

Inappropriate medication use remains a public health problem that can lead to medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and reduced therapeutic effectiveness. Limited public understanding of the principles of Obtain, Use, Store, and Dispose of Medicines Properly (DAGUSIBU), as well as inadequate knowledge of medicine logos, are factors contributing to irrational drug use. This community service activity aimed to improve public knowledge regarding the rational use of medicines through DAGUSIBU education and understanding of medicine logos among residents of RT 01 RW 01 Siroto, Candirejo, West Ungaran. The study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 respondents. The intervention was conducted through educational sessions using leaflets and interactive discussions. Evaluation was carried out using pretest and posttest instruments consisting of 10 questions related to DAGUSIBU and medicine logos. The pretest results showed varying levels of participant knowledge, with 16.7% categorized as very good, 26.7% good, 33.3% fair, and 23.3% poor. Following the educational intervention, the posttest results indicated that all participants (100%) achieved the very good category. These findings demonstrate that DAGUSIBU education and medicine logo awareness were effective in significantly improving public knowledge. This health education program is expected to enhance community awareness regarding the rational use of medicines and thereby minimize the risk of medication misuse.
